Thank you for choosing Tropical Ambiance. Please read our shipping policy carefully so you know exactly what to expect when you place an order with us.
1. Packaging
All plants are shipped in their grower's pot to minimize root disturbance and ensure they arrive in the healthiest condition possible. Please note that grower's pot color may vary depending on availability — the pot your plant arrives in may differ in color from what is pictured, but the plant itself will be exactly as described in the listing.
We pack every order with care, using appropriate materials to secure and protect your plant during transit. Our goal is for your plant to arrive looking its best.
2. Processing Time
All orders are processed and shipped within 1–3 business days of purchase. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will begin processing on the next available business day.
You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your order has been dispatched. Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking updates to reflect movement after your label is created.
3. Ships From
All orders ship from our location in Jurupa Valley, California. Transit times will vary depending on your location and the shipping method selected at checkout.
4. Shipping Carriers & Transit Times
We ship using trusted carriers to ensure your order arrives safely and on time. Estimated delivery windows vary by destination and are provided by the carrier — they are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Tropical Ambiance is not responsible for carrier delays once a package has been handed off and is in transit.
If you are located far from Southern California, please keep in mind that live plants may experience additional stress from extended time in transit. We do everything we can on our end to minimize this.
5. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location, order weight, and selected shipping method. All shipping fees are the responsibility of the buyer and are non-refundable once an order has been shipped.
6. Weather & Temperature Considerations
Live plants are sensitive to extreme temperatures. We reserve the right to delay shipment during periods of extreme heat or cold to protect the health of your plant. If we anticipate that weather conditions in your area could harm your order during transit, we may hold the shipment and notify you. We appreciate your patience and understanding — your plant's safe arrival is always our priority.
We strongly recommend that you track your package and bring it indoors as soon as it is delivered, especially during hot summers or cold winters.
7. Shipping Damage & Lost Packages
If your order arrives damaged, please photograph the outer packaging and the item immediately before discarding anything. Contact us within 3 days of delivery with your photos and order number so we can assist you.
If your package is marked as delivered but you have not received it, please check with neighbors or your building's mail area. If it is still missing after 24 hours, reach out to us and we will do our best to help. Please note that Tropical Ambiance is not responsible for packages confirmed as delivered to the correct address.
8. Local Pickup
At this time we do not offer local pickup. All orders are shipped directly to the address provided at checkout. Please ensure your shipping address is correct before completing your purchase — we are not responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect address provided by the customer.
9. International Shipping
At this time, Tropical Ambiance ships within the United States only. We do not ship internationally. This is due to USDA and customs regulations surrounding live plants and soil.
